Guy Rollings of East Lake entered Monday for treatment. Joe Pearson of Mt. Olive community entered Monday for a checkup and treatment for a strained leg muscle. DISMISSED: April 9 James Terrell Allred, Sumiton, and the room mothers brought others for those who did not have any to bring. They also provided refreshments for all the children.

Mrs. Ed Scruggs, room mother chairman, said the room mothers got together at the beginning of the year and decided to have two parties this year, one at Christmas time and this Easter Egg hunt. It has become such a big event that the children were as excited over it as Christmas. The boat, Miss Exide, belongs to Milo and Glenn Stoen, Seattle contractors. It is now under construction and will be ready for testing in late May. It will be shooting for the straightaway world speed mark of 200.440 m.p.h. set last year in Guntersville by Roy Duby in Miss US-1 out of Detroit Designer and builder of Miss Exide is Ted Jones, whose boats have won 12 Gold Cup races since 1950. The Stoens have been active in hydroplane racing for the past six years, racing both the famous Miss Seattle and Seattle Too before losing the Seattle Too last year in the Gold Cup championship classic when driver, Major Dallas Sartz, hit a ground swell and the boat exploded and disintegrated.

The new boat will be 30 feet long, 12 feet wide and will weigh about 6700 pounds. It will be powered with a 2,000 horsepower Rolls Royce engine.
